The Mirak Collection was founded in 1983 by Mr. A. Soudavar, to import French contemporary designs into the United States. However, in order to satisfy an increasingly sophisticated clientele that required custom work and meticulous execution, Mirak shifted its productions to the United States. Today, Miratex carries on this fine tradition with all items manufactured and produced in Houston, Texas. Our core lamp collection is still being imported (France) as is our mohair, velvets and calf skin leather (Netherlands and France).

The Mirak Collection initially relied on the designs of two prominent French contemporary designers, Jean Michele Wilmotte and Christian Liaigre, who at the time was working for the design house, Nobilis. While designs by these two renown designers still constitute the core of the Mirak Collection, additional designs by A. Soudavar have considerably expanded the depth of the Collection and have establish Mirak as one of the leaders in the field of classic, transitional, contemporary furnishings for indoor and outdoor use.
